About CelebHot

Meet the glossy, fictional, very much work-in-progress magazine behind this demo.

CelebHot is a pop-culture, red-carpet and celebrity-style magazine with a big personality and a short track record. Right now you are reading an illustrative launch edition: every star, stylist, designer, tour, award show and festival you meet here is fictional, invented to show what the magazine could feel like.

What You'll Find Here

The site is organized into six sections, each with its own flavor.

  • Red Carpet: galas, premieres and the looks everyone argues about.
  • Music & Tours: stadium spectacle, surprise drops and festival season.
  • Street Style: off-duty looks and how to borrow them.
  • Scandals & Drama: rumours and fan debates, handled with a cool head.
  • Exclusive Interviews: long conversations with the people behind the glamour.
  • Pop Radar: trends, sightings and how to read the internet's noise.

Our five-person editorial team is fictional too, and you can meet them on the Masthead page.

Our Spirit

We believe celebrity coverage can be fun without being cruel. Expect high energy, witty subheads and a genuine love of fashion, music and fandom. Expect no sneering about bodies, no invented scandals about real people and no pretending that a rumour is a fact.

What Exists, and What Doesn't Yet

Honesty first: this is a demo version. Here is what is real today.

  • Articles, section pages and the Daily Star Heat Index, an editors' picks list.
  • Saved stories and votes, kept in your own browser only.
  • A newsletter form that does not store anything on a server.

And here is what does not exist yet: accounts, a mobile app, a live ticker, live chat, video or audio players, a VIP video vault, a community server and payments. Some of these may arrive someday, but none are available now.

Say Hello

Questions, ideas or kind words are welcome at [email protected]. All CelebHot mailboxes are placeholders for this demo site, so please do not expect a reply from a real inbox.

We also load a few things from third parties, such as web fonts and a styling library, and we keep your theme preference in your browser. That is the full list of how the demo remembers anything about you. If you would like to see how the magazine approaches rumours, predictions and reviews, the Editorial Standards page lays it all out in plain language, and the Heat Index Methodology page explains our editors' picks list.
