Cameron Brink’s promising rookie season in the WNBA was cut short by a serious injury. During a game against the Connecticut Sun in June, Brink, the second overall pick of the Los Angeles Sparks, suffered a torn ACL after an awkward fall while driving to the basket. The injury sidelined her for the rest of the season and also prevented her from competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, a significant blow to her burgeoning career.
His participation in the Olympics was to be in the 3×3 tournament, not with the regular basketball gold medal winning team. It would have been weird to see her before Caitlin Clark in that national team but well, being the pick 2, a lot of things are expected from her as well.

The bad news for her and the Sparks is that they once again have the No. 2 pick in the 2025 draft, making it nearly impossible for them to secure the services of Paige Bueckers, as they did last year when Clark went to the Fever with the first pick.

Probable Draft Player for the Sparks
Unable to draft Bueckers, the Sparks’ best option for now, with much of the NCAA season remaining, is Kiki Iriafen. The Los Angeles native transferred to USC in April after three seasons at Stanford and could begin her professional career at Crypto.com Arena, not far from the Trojans’ Galen Center. After a stellar junior season (19.4 points, 11.0 rebounds per game) with the Cardinals, Iriafen is again a key player for a Final Four contender this season with Juju Watkins. If Brink, who was Iriafen’s teammate at Stanford, returns healthy, plus WNBA All-Rookie Team player Rickea Jackson and Iriafen will create a dynamic trio of young players who will dominate in the paint and can turn Sparks into a playoff team.

There’s a conspiracy theory for just about everything, including bizarre ones relating to the highly publicized relationship between Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.
Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.
I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
