Buffalo Bills fans came together to support San Francisco 49ers star cornerback Charvarius Ward, one month after the tragic passing of his one-year-old daughter.

Charvarius Ward announced in a heartbreaking social media post last month that his daughter, Amani Joy, passed away. Amani was born with Down syndrome and experienced heart issues.

With Ward’s 49ers coming to Buffalo to take on Josh Allen’s group on ‘Sunday Night Football’, Bills Mafia came together to support the veteran cornerback and his family during this unimaginable tragedy.

Charvarius Ward runs the “Change with Charvarius” charity, and the website states the following on their mission:

“Our organization is dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families through providing advocacy, education and research. We strive to foster inclusivity, understanding, and support, while members of this community realize their full potential and enjoy meaningful participation in society.”

Bills fan Del Reid took to X/Twitter and encouraged fellow Buffalo fans to support Charvarius Ward and his charity. As of 1:00 p.m. EST, the post had over 660 reposts and more than 2,900 likes:

Whether you’re a Bills fan or not, you have to admire and respect the passion and sincerity of this fanbase. This isn’t the first time where Buffalo fans came together to support an opposing player’s charity, either.

You may recall that the Bills ended an 18-year playoff drought in 2017 when Andy Dalton led the Cincinnati Bengals to a stunning road win against the Baltimore Ravens, who needed a victory to qualify. With the Bengals helping the Bills get in, Dalton’s charity received many generous donations from Buffalo fans.

Charvarius Ward, who won a Super Bowl 54 ring with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 season, is in the last of a three-year deal he signed with the 49ers in 2022.

Football Community Is Behind Chavarius Ward & His Family

Losing a child under any circumstance is horrific and impossible to comprehend. Folks are with Ward and his family during a truly difficult period.

Ward returned to practice this week after missing the 49ers’ last three games. No matter which team you support, everybody should be rooting for Charvarius Ward when he returns to the field.

VIDEO: NFL Fans Are Going Crazy Over Mind-Blowing Technology That Allowed Dan Orlovsky To Simulate Being Bills QB Josh Allen

The Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. They suffered their first loss of the 2024 NFL season, dropping their record to a still phenomenal nine wins and one loss. And Dan Orlovsky must have loved every bit of it.

Orlovsky covered the game on the ESPN broadcast, acting as Josh Allen for a segment following the game. In the clip he reposted to X, he walked through all the problems Allen had to deal with in the play.

Orlovsky posted a four-minute clip to X, breaking down the Bills’ third and nine plays in the fourth quarter, calling it “one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of.” Josh Allen made a complete pass to Khalil Shakir, gaining the team a much-needed first down.

The NFL analyst also broke down the entire play, showing the Chiefs’ players’ assignments as the play developed. Of course, he went super in-depth, as it should be noted that Orlovsky was a former NFL quarterback himself.

It seems that it wasn’t Orlovsky who just loved, the fans in the X comment section did as well. One fan was quite blunt in their reply, stating, “I’ll take this over useless football debates all day, every day.”

One fan begged for ESPN to be on this, wanting it to be a recurring segment. “This needs to be a recurring segment, please,” said X user Senor Grande, and it wouldn’t be a bad idea for ESPN if we were being honest.

One fan just praised Orlovsky for a job well done during his insane analysis of the play: “I have been critical of you before, man, no lie, but this makes it painfully obvious that you are LEAGUES above any of us armchair quarterbacks. Seriously, stellar job,” said X user Joey.

While this may have been the first time that Orlovsky has done this in VR, it isn’t the first he’s done in real life. Fans should hope that ESPN allows this to happen more often for the sake of the enjoyment of watching.
