Eminem’s ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ Eyes No. 1 Spot, Poised to Knock Taylor Swift Off the Charts – Fans Can’t Stop Talking!

Eminem’s ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ Looking at No. 1 Chart Debut, Would Dethrone Taylor Swift

Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, is predicted to knock Taylor Swift off of the top of the Billboard 200 with his new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), per HITS Daily Double.
This news doesn’t sit well with fans of The Tortured Poets Department artist, 34. When Pop Base, posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) “The Death of Slim Shady by Eminem is aiming for a #1 debut on the Billboard 200 with 300k+ units,” the Swifties were quick to respond.
“TAYLOR RELEASE THOSE VINYLS,” one fan tweeted, while another shared, “He will ruin Taylor’s streak if she doesn’t release the rainbow version or whatever the name is gonna be.” Another person posted, “For the first time… I actually want Taylor to block someone.” There were also Eminem fans in the comments, posting, “300k with no physicals that’s why he’s the goat.”

Taylor Swift performs onstage during ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour’ at San Siro on July 13, 2024 in Milan, Italy. Days later, Swifties worried Eminem’s new album might knock their girl off the top… VITTORIO ZUNINO CELOTTO/TAS24/GETTY IMAGES Swifties also took on Eminem in January 2024, when they complained on social media about the rapper being shown during the broadcast of a football game between the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams.

Of course, it wasn’t actually about Eminem, so much as it was trying to prove that football fans were only mad Swift was being shown at NFL games because she is a woman.
“Omg they showed Eminem again in the stands! It’s ridiculous and I’m so offended! They’re ruining football,” one fan posted on X, referring to all the complaints that Swift supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce at games was “ruining football.” Another fan posted, “Why is it okay for Eminem to rock out and cheer at NFL games, but if Taylor Swift does it, it’s distracting? #Swifties.”

Eminem’s new album is off to quite the start, with Hot 97 reporting on Monday, July 15 that it debuted on Spotify with 63 million streams on its opening day. The release of the 12th studio album marks his biggest streaming debut yet. Ahead of its release, Eminem, 51, advised fans how to enjoy his latest album.
“Public service announcement: the ‘death of slim shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy,” the rapper posted on X.
The Detroit native has been promoting the album in elaborate ways, such as an obituary in the Detroit Free Press and a wake at the album release party. Eminem also partnered with White Castle fast food chain to release “White Rapper” merchandise.

  • Eminem Under Fire for ‘Sick and Tasteless’ Song on New Album – Fans Outraged Over Controversial Lyric!

Eminem Under Fire for ‘Sick and Tasteless’ Song on New Album – Fans Outraged Over Controversial Lyric!

He is the king of controversy after all…
Let’s face it, an Eminem album wouldn’t be complete without stirring up quite a bit of controversy.

After all, the 51-year-old rapper, Marshall Mathers, originally carved out his reputation through shock rap and contentious lyrics.
Right from the start, it was clear that his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” would follow in the same vein.
Yet, one track in particular has drawn significant criticism from listeners due to its ‘tasteless’ mention of a real-life tragedy that occurred in 2021.

The lyric has divided opinions amongst listeners.Scott Legato /Getty Images
In the song titled ‘Fuel’, Eminem references the tragic death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was fatally shot by a prop gun on the set of the movie “Rust” nearly three years ago.
His lyrics go: “But it’s in a holster, I proceed to bust it/ F**k around and get popped like Halyna Hutchins.
“Like I’m Alec Baldwin, what I mean is buckin’ you down, coup de grâce then.”
Alec Baldwin had been undergoing a trial in New Mexico, facing charges of involuntary manslaughter related to Hutchins’ death, but a judge has since dismissed the case.
Baldwin maintained that he did not pull the trigger that resulted in Hutchins’ death and argued that it was the responsibility of others on set to ensure the gun’s safety.
Eminem’s blunt reference to this incident has left many listeners in shock, prompting a flurry of critical responses on social media.
“Eminem dissing Halyna Hutchins and Alec Baldwin was not on my 2024 Bingo card,” commented one stunned fan on X.

The lyric was labeled ‘disgusting’, ‘disrespectful’, and ‘tasteless’ by other users.
“Love him, but that’s extremely disrespectful to her family,” another person commented.

The controversial reference to Alec Baldwin and Halyna Hutchins is not the only part of “The Death of Slim Shady” that has sparked backlash.
Eminem’s lead single ‘Houdini’ has been criticized for mentioning another shooting involving fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
“If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat?” he questions in the song, apparently making light of the incident where Stallion was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez in 2020.
Eminem doesn’t stop there; several other celebrities found themselves targets of his sharp lyrics throughout the album, which marks the end of his notorious alter-ego Slim Shady.
In addition to taking a jab at Amber Heard in the track ‘Lucifer’ concerning her 2022 defamation trial against Johnny Depp, Eminem also delivered a harsh criticism of fellow rapper Diddy in the song ‘Antichrist’.

Azealia Banks UNLEASHES on Eminem & Kendrick Lamar AGAIN – You Won’t Believe What She Said This Time!

Singer and rapper Azealia Banks, who is well-known of her controversial talks, has recently weighed in on J. Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar for a diss record and involved Eminem into her rant on Instagram.
“Ya know, a 4’9″ n-gga who can’t do a push up starting beef with everyone he’s jealous of because of his powerful relatives is very soon going to run out of gas. Kendrick’s relatives are eventually going to become tired of being involved in this girly a-s drama. Next time Kendrick pulls one of these, please ask him to come outside. Threatening people’s lives while preaching that all that black royalty s-t is bogus.” said Azealia Banks.

The she continued: “Not to mention, there are slew of white ghostwriters, literally penning these songs about the “black struggle” for Kendrick and tons of other rap n-ggas. Kendrick’s place in the grand scheme is to transform the devastating realities of life in black America from hard foot into a puree for toothless white consumers to feel good about themselves and and like they have made a change because they bought the Kendrick Lamar CD. I’m sorry. I really can’t believe the industry gave me such a hard time for expressing my opinion while these rap n-ggas literally have the girliest beef ever. Like, why don’t you n-ggas figure out who is literally hunting you all and and figure out how the f-k to stay alive instead of this bulls-t. And Kendrick, make some a-s shakers, for f-ks sake, you’ve been short and angry for a decade.”

“You too Eminem… White Male rage has no place in hip-hop. Make an a-s shaker dammit. Eminem really makes school shooter music. We don’t care about your battle with drugs. Sober people got hit by cars too. Like, how did hip-hop really let this white dude get away with lyrics about fantasizing about killing his mother. Like… No. Em belongs in the psych ward. I can’t beleive we s-tted on Vanilla Ice

(who is actually swagged the f-k out) to accept Eminem’s weird a-s.” Azealia Banks added.

This is not the first time Azealia attacked Eminem. She went at Eminem in few other occasions. Couple of years ago, she said on Instagram: “Eminem always been annoying and garbage. I can’t, won’t and refuse to consume white male anger in rap form. I’m picking Paul Wall and Bubba Sparxxx over Eminem ANYDAY. Can we also make Eminem’s glorified white male rage a factor in what influences white school shooters Imao… We love to blame black parents and black stars for *what’s wrong with our youth* but really let Em write whole songs about wanting to murder his own mother. We really should blame Eminem for everything.”

Di3 Antwoord CLAPS BACK at Eminem: ‘You Were Better When You Were on D-ru.gs!’ – Rap Feud Escalates!

Nick Cannon Drops New Eminem Diss Track ‘Pray For Him’; 50 Cent Takes A Side.
The Eminem And Her Feud Are Deeper Than You Think…

Eminem’s beef with rapper Machine Gun Kelly is long gone, but the Detroit native has found himself in the middle of another squabble, this time with Nick Cannon.
The war of words started Monday when Cannon dropped “The Invitation,” a diss track that Cannon created in response to Eminem’s feature on Fat Joe’s “Lord Above” last week. Cannon later followed that with a second diss track Tuesday.
In “The Invitation,” Cannon, 39, alleges that Eminem, 47, fired his chauffeur for recording a video of the rapper engaging in sexual activities with another man. The track features Suge Knight, who’s currently serving 28 years in prison.
The diss prompted an immediate response from Eminem, who tweeted, “U mad bro? Stop lying on my (expletive). I never even had a chauffeur, you bougie (expletive).”
Eminem appeared to make light of the situation, adding, “I demand an apology Nicholas, you’ve made my gardener so jealous!”/ Cannon then took to his Instagram account to invite Eminem to the TV series “Wild ‘n Out” to hash out their differences. In a video, he said, “Marshall (Mathers) come out and play.”

He captioned the black-and-white clip, “I see your handlers let you use the internet today Marshall! @mtvwildnout We waiting…”
The two reignited their beef on Friday when Eminem alluded to his alleged relationship with Cannon’s ex-wife, Mariah Carey, on “Lord Above.”
During his verse, Eminem took several below-the-belt shots at Cannon, calling him “whipped” and “neutered.” To add insult to injury, Eminem called Carey a “nutjob.”
On Tuesday, fellow rapper 50 Cent appeared to take Eminem’s side in the feud. 50 Cent rose to fame with the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre. “I don’t understand to save my life why someone would pick a fight with EM. He is a different kinda animal, I haven’t seen a (expletive) come close to beating him man,” he tweeted along with a photo of Eminem. “hey Nick that (expletive) was trash, I oughta kick you in yo (expletive) when I see you PUNK!”
In response, Cannon shared a photo of Samuel L. Jackson’s character from “Django Unchained” looking upset to his Instagram. He simply captioned the image with 50 Cent’s handle and a laughing emoji.
50 Cent wasn’t the only one to pick a side. Others also saw Eminem as the victor of the feud, causing the hashtag #ripnickcannon to trend on Twitter Tuesday morning.

Later Tuesday, Cannon dropped “Pray For Him.”
In the song, Cannon and The Black Squad continue to go after Eminem./ “Lord forgive us/ I know that it’s kinda wrong

For five brothers this talented to be on one song,” the lyrics read. “But that white boy, he is nice But he crossed the black man, Lord Jesus Christ/We gonna pray for him.”
“Now you debate, disputed, hated and viewed in America as a (expletive) drug addict You’ll never be a legend,” the track continues, before accusing the rapper of cosmetic surgery. “You should really start to stare at who’s in the mirror
Look at all that (expletive) botox, (expletive) I know you embarrassed.”
The song also references Eminem’s daughter Hailie and extends another invitation for Eminem to appear on “Wild ‘n Out.”
There’s a long history between Eminem and Carey and Cannon, who divorced in 2016 after eight years of marriage and two children together.
In 2009, Eminem dissed the couple on “Bagpipes From Baghdad.”
“Mariah, what ever happened to us? Why did we have to break up? … Nick Cannon better back the (expletive) up I’m not playin’, I want her back, you punk.”

In response, Carey released her hit song “Obsessed” in 2009 along with a music video that appeared to diss Eminem. She denied that she ever had a relationship with him.
On Monday’s “The Invitation,” Cannon added:/ “My baby mama killed you off a decade ago You’re still cryin’ about it, (expletive), now who really the (expletive)?”vv

WNBA legend Sue Bird has discussed the perceived hate Caitlin Clark has had to deal with ahead of the rookie’s first All-Star Game appearance.

Clark, an All-Star in her first season, didn’t seem to receive a warm welcome after the Indiana Fever made her the No. 1 overall pick in April. However, Bird thinks most people misinterpreted the message they got from the league’s veterans.

The former Seattle Storm star was a guest on the new ‘Good Game with Sarah Spain’ podcast this week and insisted that players were only showing their competitive side.

“Caitlin will go down as, whatever you want to call it, the one who made the change, this pivotal person,” Bird said.

“She will, 100 percent. But in other leagues … it was never like when LeBron (James) came, ‘Oh, Michael Jordan didn’t matter.’ And for some reason that happened, and it caused this whole thing. When the reality was, no player felt that way toward Caitlin, everybody was very welcoming and inviting, and they mistook competitive talk for hate, with hating on somebody.

“There is a thin line there, and some people do both, but I think the majority of WNBA players, with their play, with their talk, it was just competition.”

Things Have Calmed Down Around Caitlin Clark

The storm around Caitlin Clark seems to have abated in recent times. She isn’t making the news for receiving hard fouls or some veteran taking a shot at her. Most of the chatter pertains to the Rookie of the Year race with her rival Angel Reese.

The former Iowa guard heads into the All-Star and Olympic break, averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds again, with the Fever also playing a lot better lately.

She also just broke the WNBA’s record for the most assists in a single game with 19.

Fans are looking forward to seeing how she handles her first All-Star appearance.

Caitlin Clark and teammate Lexie Hull spent the week blowing off some steam in Mexico amid a grueling WNBA schedule.

The Fever rookie and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, are on vacation together with Will Matthiessen and Lexie Hull, who are dating.

Matthiessen is a right-handed pitcher out of Stanford, who was a sixth-round draft pick by the Pirates in the 2019 MLB draft.

Caitlin Clark and teammate Lexie Hull were seen in their best bikinis. One picture showed them both smiling from ear to ear while lounging on a large yellow raft in the water.

Hull appeared to be wearing a red two-piece bikini set as she sat up on the raft while Clark was lying down holding two peace signs up.

Lexie Hull is having quite the season for the Indiana Fever as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.

Despite playing limited minutes off the bench, she is helping her team by averaging 3.6 points per game, per WNBA.com.

Lexie Hull spoke on her vacation plans when she posted a TikTok of her pregame outfit before a game against the Dallas Wings.

While showing off her outfit, Hull said that, “It’s our last game before All-Star break and Olympic break, so we have like a month off from games.

“And some of my teammates and I are going to Mexico. So I figured the last game before then, I would wear something that’s giving Mexico.”

Even though Caitlin Clark is extremely popular herself, she doesn’t stop from getting star-struck by other athletes.

That is exactly what happened when she attended a Yankees game in person and witnessed Aaron Judge for the first time.

When she joined the Yankees YES broadcast team during New York’s match against the Texas Rangers, she said that Judge was “pretty swole,” which got everyone laughing.

“He’s way bigger than even people think,” she continued. “You know he’s big, but then when you get next to him, it’s like, of my gosh, he could probably play football or just about any sport he wants to. Probably pretty good at basketball, too.”

Of course, at 6’7″ and 282 pounds, she’s certainly not wrong.

People online also had some fun joining in on the conversation.

Oh boy.. not sure if judge is single..but if he is.. power couple alert,” one said

Both the goats of their sports,” a third commented.

It’s always fun seeing two athletes at the top of their sports share a moment, especially when they deliver funny moments like this.

Caitlin Clark Continues Path To WNBA Rookie Of The Year

There seems to be a two-woman Rookie of the Year race between Clark and Angel Reese.

The two college rivals are competing again for a high honor, but Clark appears to have a slight edge.

Clark is currently averaging more points, assists, steals, and blocks per game. She also has a better field goal, three-point, and free-throw percentage.

However, what is extremely impressive about Reese’s season is that she is averaging a double-double through 24 career games. Certainly, this is one aspect that can’t be ignored when the argument between the two comes up.

Caitlin Clark has revealed where her head is at on the possibility of joining rival Angel Reese in new women’s basketball league, Unrivaled.

The 3-on-3 association, launched by Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, will host games during the WNBA’s offseason and has snagged some very notable names, including Reese.

Clark, however, has insisted that she’s focused on her WNBA career and her goals with the Indiana Fever for now.

“Honestly, I’m just focused on this right now,” she told reporters on Tuesday. “One thing at a time. Can’t always just be moving on to the next. My focus is right here.”

Unrivaled Will Have To Wait On Caitlin Clark

Collier disclosed that at least four WNBA rookies will play in her new league. Given the popularity boost experienced by the WNBA, it would be great to have both Clark and Reese there, but the former Iowa star might take some time with her decision.

In the meantime, they have signed UConn’s Paige Bueckers, projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, securing her involvement through an NIL deal.

Unrivaled was launched as an avenue for WNBA players to earn money during the offseason without going overseas. While it has not announced a salary structure, it is expected to pay the most money in women’s sports.

Also, the first 30 players to join will get an equity stake.

The plan is for ‘Unrivaled’ to have six teams playing an eight-week season, including a playoffs and a final. Each of the teams will have a head coach and an assistant coach.

There are also plans to host a one-on-one single-elimination tournament next February.

UNBELIEVABLE SCENE: Phoenix Mercury Star ERUPTS at Caitlin Clark After Rookie’s Shocking Foul on Veteran – Watch the Drama Unfold!

Caitlin Clark foulCaitlin Clark foul (photos via @TWDTV1 X)
Caitlin Clark has gained a reputation for playing extremely hard, no matter the situation. That means every now and then, there will be a foul with a bit more contact than usual.

That’s exactly what happened in this play between Clark and Phoenix Mercury veteran Kahleah Copper when they collided with each other in the paint as Copper was going for a layup.

Immediately after, Copper turns around and starts chirping at Clark. Although the exact words can’t be translated, it was enough for Clark to respond with, “It’s just a foul.”

Of course, as with everything surrounding Caitlin Clark and the WNBA, many online had very strong opinions about the situation.

Am i tripping or is this literally just a normal smart foul? Lol. You are taught if you are going to foul make sure they have 0 chance to make it,” said one commenter.

I mean if you are going to foul to prevent the layup you have to make sure they don’t get a real chance at a basket. Clean foul, maybe a slight overreaction from Copper here but not a big deal,” said another about Clark.

Every basketball player is taught in 5th grade don’t let up an easy layup/ensure they don’t make it. Copper knows this. Every player knows this (and expects it). The after the foul act is all for show,” added a third.

This whole reaction is probably chalked up to many veterans still not respecting Clark.

WNBA Veterans Continue To Disrespect Caitlin Clark

It’s not as if this is the first time veterans have shown their dislike for Clark.

There’s levels to this thing. And that’s just life, we all went through it,” Diana Taurasi told Scott Van Pelt in April. “You see it on the NBA side, and you’re going to see it on this side. You look superhuman playing against 18-year-olds, but you’re going to come with some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time.

Of course, when such a young talent comes into the game with so much attention, there’s likely to be some animosity.
