Hoda Kotb Opens Up About Her Heart-Wrenching Decision to Leave Today After 17 Years—Health Scare, Ad Deals, and Secrets Behind Her Exit!

HODA Kotb had a long list of reasons to end her 17-year run on morning TV, according to a source.

The insider told The U.S. Sun that Hoda’s crushing morning show schedule had become problematic for her work-life balance, and the “life” part of the equation ultimately weighed heavily on her decision to leave Today.

The mother of two found she couldn’t dedicate enough time to her two kids, Hope, 5, and Haley, 7.

“You want to be there for your kids, and she’s just completely wiped by the time it gets around to after school,” an insider explained.

“She loves these girls so much, and then when Hope was sick and hospitalized, everything changed for her with her views on work.”

Hoda’s daughter, Hope was hospitalized in February 2023 after a “scary” incident, though the star kept her child’s medical diagnosis private.

“I think people don’t realize to be on morning TV, its like being an athlete, your whole life is about that,” the insider continued.

“Getting up at three o’clock every morning, and then you go to bed at eight o’clock, which was fine when her kids were three or four years old, but now that her kids have grown up a bit, they don’t want to go to bed at eight o’clock. The kids are up later than Hoda.

“Morning TV is a young person’s game, since it has grueling hours, and it just gets harder as you get older.

    “Hoda’s 60th birthday was a wake-up call for her.”

    READY FOR LOVE

The insider said that on top of her wanting to be there for her daughters, the daytime TV host, who was spotted with a mystery man in March, very much wants to be able to go on dates.

“She wants to have a boyfriend, she wants to have that life and she wants to date,” they added.

The insider also said that Hoda was unable to do brand endorsements or advertisements because she was under strict NBC rules.

That now will change, the source said.

“Hoda can become the face of L’Oreal. She could potentially make more money now that she’s off the show.”

Meanwhile, on another family front, the source noted Hoda’s relationship with her mother, Sameha, was also a focal point of her decision to leave Today.

    HODA’S NBC LEGACY

Hoda’s illustrious career at NBC spanned well over two decades.

Hoda joined the NBC network in 1998 as a correspondent for Dateline.

She became a standout once paired with Kathie Lee Gifford in the 10 am hour of Today in 2008.

During her time on the show, Hoda was open about her battle with breast cancer and her fertility struggles.

Fans of the show then watched as she adopted her two daughters; first in 2017 and then in 2019.

She was also vocal about her daughter, Hope’s, scary medical crisis.

Hoda continued in the fourth hour after Jenna Bush Hager replaced Kathie Lee.

She was then named an interim co-anchor along with Savannah after Matt Lauer’s firing from the network in late 2017.

Hoda and Savannah became the first female-led duo to co-anchor Today since its premiere in 1952.

A recent highlight of her time on Today was the previously mentioned birthday surprise.

Hoda’s co-anchors shocked her with an hour-long celebration in August honoring her 60th birthday.

“She loves her mom and she’s getting up there in age and isn’t in the greatest of health, so she would like more time with her.”

    TERRIBLE COMMUTE

In one more reason to step away from the morning show, Hoda’s commute was much worse after she moved from New York City to the suburbs in Westchester.

“Her moving was the beginning of the end, she’s commuting in and out every morning at four o’clock.”

And now that she’s seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with her schedule, and having more space in the suburbs with her daughters.

The insider added that she also plans to get a dog.

    HODA’S NEXT ACT

Hoda has been in talks with NBC execs about her departure for “about a year,” the insider said.

They noted that she isn’t leaving NBC, and will change gears to doing special correspondent work and interviewing celebrities in long-format segments.

She will also continue recording her podcast, Making Space, and the accomplished children’s author will also write more books.

    BITTERSWEET END

Hoda announced her departure from Today on Thursday morning.

She fought back tears as she told her co-hosts, “I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old…What does that decade mean? And I realize it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

The beloved host explained that celebrating her 60th birthday with her children was the “top of the wave” for her.

She thought, “It can’t get any better,” and knew it was time to move on.

Hoda also noted that since she became a mom later in life, they “deserve a bigger piece of my time pie.”

She said leaving Today was “the hardest thing in the world,” and promised she would “stay in the NBC family,” but revealed she would be departing the morning show in early 2025.

SH0CKING: Sheinelle Jones Steals the Spotlight, Replacing Craig Melvin at Today Desk Amid Rumors She’s ‘In the Running’ for Hoda Kotb’s Job!

SHEINELLE Jones has replaced Craig Melvin as Today anchor after it was revealed she was ‘in the running’ to replace Hoda Kotb.

Last week it was revealed that Hoda, 60, has stepped down from her role as co-anchor on the NBC morning show.

Hoda will be leaving Today at the end of the year – and many are wondering who will replace her.

Sheinelle – who is usually a correspondent – stepped in as co-anchor just for the day, for Craig Melvin.

It comes after The Sun U.S exclusively reported that Sheinelle is in the running to replace main anchor Hoda, and join Craig and Savannah Guthrie on our screens.

“Now that she’s on her way out, there is a power vacuum already,” the insider told us.

“She put out the email that she was quitting before she went on air and before the show even ended four people were waiting outside the EP’s door to try and get the job.”

The insider added that Sheinelle “is their first choice” as NBC execs would like a person of color for the spot.

She has been part of the show since 2014.

    HODA’S EXIT

Last month The Sun U.S reported that execs are ‘begging’ Hoda to stay and ‘haven’t given up’ on keeping her.

A source told us that NBC higher-ups still think that they may be able to stop her from leaving.

“There are negotiations in the works with pleas for her to do one day a week like Barbara Walters once did on The View,” the source said.

Today execs are ‘begging’ Hoda Kotb to stay on show and ‘haven’t given up’ on keeping her despite exit announcement
“That’s why she’s been very vague about when she’s leaving and what she’s doing next. They’re still figuring it out.

“She wants to do prime-time specials like Diane Sawyer does for ABC.

“This isn’t the last we’ve seen of Hoda.”

    FINDING LOVE

Meanwhile it has also been reported that Hoda will focus on love when she leaves Today.

    HODA’S NBC LEGACY

Hoda’s illustrious career at NBC spans well over two decades.

The source said that Hoda, who broke off her engagement to her longtime fiance Joel Schiffman in 2022 after eight years of dating, wants another chance at love.

“She wants a boyfriend, she wants to be able to date, she wants to have that in her life,” the insider revealed.

She was last seen with a mystery man in March this year.

    REAL REASON

The real reason that Hoda decided to leave is because she wants to focus on her family.

The TV star is mum to Hope, five, and Hayley, seven.

An insider explained: “You want to be there for your kids, and she’s just completely wiped by the time it gets around to after school.

“She loves these girls so much, and then when Hope was sick and hospitalized, everything changed for her with her views on work.”

Hoda Kotb’s farewell letter to staff

Longtime Today host Hoda Kotb penned the following letter to staff announcing her departure:

    “To my Today family,

“As I write this, my heart is all over the map. I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you all are the reason why. They say two things can be right at the same time, and I’m feeling that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show.

“My time at NBC has been the longest professional love affair of my life. But only because you’ve been beside me on this twenty-six-year adventure. Looking back, the math is nuts. 26 years at NBC News – Ten years at Dateline, seven on the seven o’clock hour, sixteen on the ten o’clock hour. I’m picturing your faces and your families and all the ways you’ve lifted me up and inspired me. That’s my heart singing. So many of my professional relationships have become some of my most cherished friendships. Savannah: my rock. Jenna: my ride-or-die. Al: my longest friend at 30 Rock. Craig, Carson, Sheinelle and Dylan: my family. Libby, Mazz and Talia: my fearless leaders. I will miss each and every one of you at TODAY desperately.

“I’ve been weighing this decision for quite a while – Am I truly ready? But, my sixtieth birthday celebration on the Plaza felt like a shift. Like a massive, joyful YES, you are! I saw it all so clearly: my broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited.

“Because I’ll be working through the beginning of 2025, there’s plenty of time to talk about what’s ahead for all of us. But one thing I know for sure right now is this: everything’s going to be just fine. The Peacock’s feathers are never ruffled… no matter who comes or goes. TODAY and its amazing people — all of you — never waver. You always weather change with grace and guts.

“Happily and gratefully, I plan to remain a part of the NBC family, the longest work relationship I’ve been lucky enough to hold close to my heart. I’ll be around. How could I not? Family is family and you all will always be a part of mine.

    “Love,

    “Hoda”

    SHOCK ANNOUNCEMENT

Hoda revealed the news on September 26.

She joined the show in 2018 after replacing Matt Lauer.

Hoda said in her statement: “So I was doing the math, and I realized I have spent 26 years at NBC – be cool, be cool.

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old…

“What does that decade mean?…And I realize it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

  • 50 Cent RESPONDS to Jay-Z’s ‘White Guy’ Comment About Eminem: You Won’t Believe What He Said!

50 Cent RESPONDS to Jay-Z’s ‘White Guy’ Comment About Eminem: You Won’t Believe What He Said!

In the ever-evolving landscape of hip-hop, recent headlines have been stirred by none other than 50 Cent, who took to social media to call out Jay-Z for his seemingly controversial reference to Eminem as ‘The White Guy.’ The unfolding drаmа between these influential figures in the rap industry has sparked discussions about race, camaraderie, and the dynamics within the hip-hop community.

The controversy stems from Jay-Z’s recent interview where he reportedly referred to Eminem as ‘The White Guy’ in the context of discussing the diversity within the hip-hop genre. While it remаins unclear whether this statement was intended as a casual observation or carried deeper implications, it has certainly caught the attention of the hip-hop community.

Known for his outspoken nature, 50 Cent wasted no time in expressing his displeasure with Jay-Z’s choice of words. Taking to social media platforms, 50 Cent called out the hip-hop mogul, questioning the necessity of highlighting Eminem’s race in the discussion. This move by 50 Cent has ignited a conversation about the significance of race in hip-hop and the responsibility that influential figures bear in shaping the narrative.

The hip-hop genre has been a melting pоt of diverse voices and backgrounds, transcending racial and cultural boundaries. However, discussions around race and identity continue to be sensitive topics within the community. Jay-Z’s reference to Eminem as ‘The White Guy’ raises questions about whether such distinctions are relevant in a genre that has long prided itself on breaking down barriers.

Hip-hop has often been celebrated for fostering a sense of camaraderie among artists, transcending differences in race, ethnicity, and background. 50 Cent’s response to Jay-Z’s remark underscores the importance of maintaining unity within the hip-hop community and avoiding divisive language that may inadvertently perpetuate stereotypes.

As fans and industry insiders weigh in on the controversy, the incident sheds light on the broader issues of representation, inclusion, and power dynamics within the hip-hop landscape. The fallout from this exchange may influence future conversations about race, identity, and the responsibility of influential figures in shaping the narrative of an ever-evolving genre.

The clаsh between 50 Cent and Jay-Z over the reference to Eminem as ‘The White Guy’ adds a new layer to the ongoing discourse about race and identity in hip-hop. As the hip-hop community grapples with the implications of such statements, the incident serves as a reminder of the influential role that artists play in shaping the narrative of a genre that continues to evolve in its quest for inclusivity and unity.

Jelly Roll Opens Up About Eminem’s Influence: Calls Him the ‘GOAT’ After Finding His Inspiration!

    jelly-roll-eminem

Country singer Jelly Roll has recently gave an interview to Detroit Free Press where he revealed that he was inspired by Eminem and called him the greatest of all time.

The 38-year-old Tennessee native made an underground name in the 2010s with a series of hick-hop releases, forging a music career after spending much of his teens and early 20s in prison. He began his country transition in 2020, winning fans with soul-baring, therapeutic music that has been celebrated for honest rawness.

Friday in metro Detroit, he knew he was near the stomping grounds of a personal musical hero and influence, Eminem, who emerged from similar tough family circumstances to find his own redemptive arc.

Jelly Roll expresses sentiment over Eminem's rendition of 'Save Me'

“Eminem is the greatest of all time. There’s no denying that. I grew up feeling the same way. He inspired kids like me. He was early to infuse rap and rock, and I remember early on thinking you could mix genres based solely on what Marshall did. So he’s always been a big pivotal thing on what we’ve done. Plus, being a white-trash kid, you can’t help supporting another white-trash kid. I hope he feels the same about me.” Jelly Roll said.

“I think his music has always been cathartic because even when he was in his addiction, he was constantly crying for help out of it when you listen back to those records. Once he got past his first album, he just opened up the super-emotional side of him, and I think it changed the game for everybody. And he was one of the first rappers who did that.” he added.

Eminem released his highly-anticipated new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) a little over a month ago. Since then, the title has been performing very well, especially in the musician’s home country of the U.S. The full-length had been running the show on several Billboard charts for weeks, but after a notable reign, it’s finally been replaced.

The Death of Slim Shady has been forced from the top spot on two of Billboard’s albums tallies. This frame, the set slips from No. 1 to No. 2 on both the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts.

Eminem steps aside as Vultures 2, the latest collaborative album from Ty Dolla $ign and Ye–formerly known as Kanye West–debuts at No. 1. The full-length marks the second successful project from the two musicians, and, for the moment, it’s running the show on the genre-specific tallies that The Death of Slim Shady previously dominated.

Vultures 2 is also beating Eminem’s latest on several other rankings. Ye and $ign debut their new set at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Album Sales chart. The pair lose out to Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department on both of those lists. On the Top Streaming Albums chart, the Vultures sequel launches at No. 6.

    Eminem felkóstolta 6ix9ine-t - Rap.hu

The Death of Slim Shady, meanwhile, slips slightly on two of those charts. Eminem’s new full-length dips to No. 10 on the Top Streaming Albums list and No. 11 on the Billboard 200 this frame. The set is no longer selling well enough to appear on the Top Album Sales tally.

Eminem did manage to conquer the Billboard 200 the week that The Death of Slim Shady first arrived, while Ye and $ign failed to do so. Vultures 2 marks the end of Ye’s winning streak on that chart, as his last 11 projects released under his name have all reached the summit on the competitive roster.

In the coming weeks–and perhaps even in just a few days–Eminem could return to No. 1 on some of Billboard’s hip-hop-leaning tallies. The Death of Slim Shady has real staying power, as it’s already racked up several turns atop multiple lists, and fans are still listening. Vultures 2 could also score a second turn in first place, though consumption of that project doesn’t seem to be holding in the same way as Eminem’s latest.

  • MGK Stirs Up Drama: Claims Eminem ‘Did Not Win’ Their Infamous Rap Battle!

MGK Stirs Up Drama: Claims Eminem ‘Did Not Win’ Their Infamous Rap Battle!

Eminem Vs Machine Gun Kelly (DISS 2018 Not Alike / Rap Devil)
Machine Gun Kelly’s back at it, reigniting the flames of his old feud with Eminem.

MGK has stirred the pot once again, this time in a comment on YouTuber Scru Face Jean’s review of his latest track “BMXXing”. In the comment, MGK challenges the notion that Eminem was the clear victor in their past feud, sparking a fresh wave of controversy.

Scru Face Jean reviewed “BMXXing”, comparing the vibes to Mac Miller’s work. He acknowledged the Eminem beef, stating, “MGK really stood up and fought. There is a lot of people who were afraid to say something about Em, so I gotta respect him for that”. Scru ultimately crowned Eminem the winner, but acknowledged MGK put up a good fight.

MGK clearly isn’t on the same page. He responded to Scru’s clip, stating, “He didn’t win.” This fired up fans on both sides, with some backing MGK and others calling him delusional.

It seems like after his successful genre switch, MGK gained more confidence since he’s back to rapping and is ready to revisit history. He blamed his beef with Eminem and Em’s devastating “Killshot” diss for MGK’s low album sales and the reputation loss that ultimately pushed him out of the hip hop world. And here we are again.

The difference is that Eminem is not going to sit and read what people on the Internet talk about him. He is too busy rolling out his new album, “The Death of Slim Shady”. The one that just spawned a lead single that has crushed the charts in around 20 countries and sold more in its first week than all other songs in the Top 5.

  • Obie Trice Pays Tribute: Fans Stunned by His Massive Respect for Eminem During Moncton Canada Show!

Obie Trice Pays Tribute: Fans Stunned by His Massive Respect for Eminem During Moncton Canada Show!

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge fan of D12 and all things Shady Records. When I heard 2/6 of D12 were coming to my city along with Obie Trice, you know I had to jump on it. Naturally, I had to grab the VIP meet and greet pass too.

When the day finally came, I was unreasonable, just as nervous as I was excited. I felt like I was about to have Mom’s Spaghetti on my sweater. As I was waiting in line for my turn to meet D12, I was greeted by a man who I wasn’t familiar with. I later learned this was the hype-man/DJ that was touring with them, DJ Invisible. This guy is a ray of sunshine. His smiley persona is contagious in a way that just makes you feel comfortable where you are.

While waiting in line, I decided with my buddy that we’d meet them at the same time. We thought this would take some pressure off. Once we finally got to the front of the line, I had a nearly out of body experience as I first shook hands with Swifty. I told him how I’d been a fan of his since way before I was old enough for his music. Next, I shook hands with Kuniva. I told him I had a part in writing an interview he did for Southpawer a while back. He told me it was a great script and tied it off with a “Much Respect” acknowledgement.

As Swifty and Kuniva happily signed my D12 CD, I started making small talk. My buddy asked Swifty what his favorite track he’s ever recorded is. Swift told him he can’t really give an answer because it would be like trying to choose a favorite child. I joked with him and said “Well, you have to say you don’t have a favorite child, but secretly, deep, deep down you do”. Swifty sort of chuckled and said “Alright, I’d probably say “Loyalty” then.” Finally, we turned around to snap one of the most awkward but cherished photos in my personal history.

These guys are incredibly easy to talk to. They’re very welcoming and all about their fans. Meeting these guys feels like meeting up with a close friend that you haven’t seen in years. I get the impression that they don’t take anything they have for granted and they don’t feel entitled to have fans that have hung around to the end.

Once the D12 meet and greet was over I hung around the bar in the same room as D12 as they continued to meet more fans. I took this opportunity to make my way to the front row of the stage. Before the show started, an artist by the name of Hinch did about 30 minutes of material. I never heard of him but he definitely knows how to warm up a crowd.

Once Hinch wrapped up his set, he said goodbye to the crowd and it was time for DJ Invisible to step in and prepare us for Obie Trice. A short time later, Obie sneaks onto the stage and slips right into “Got Some Teeth”. This is one of my favorite Obie tracks, so I was very happy to see him open with it.

A short time into the set, Obie stopped to pay his respects to Nate Dogg. As he prompted the audience to all put 2 fingers in the air for Nate Dogg, he continued to perform “Look in My Eyes.”

One of the most surprising moments of his set is when he decided to tell a little untold story about Akon. I believe this was when he met him for the first time.

I was really happy to hear him perform his verse from one of the deeper album cuts from Eminem‘s Encore album, “Spend Some Time.” The hypeman also made the crowd to scream “Shady Forever” a few times.

Next, Obie did his verse from the track “S–t Hits The Fan.” Despite the fact that Obie had to cover Eminem’s part while the background vocals play, you almost don’t notice. There’s something to say about such a level of energy and validity about someone’s performance when you almost forget Em wasn’t in the room.

Speaking of Eminem, Obie humbly paid massive respects to the man himself, Marshall. It’s truly touching to hear Obie counting his blessings and not taking his Shady connection for granted.

Obie finished his set with a very raunchy rendition of “Shake That.” He invited some women from the crowd to come dance with him and things got a little… interesting. Let’s just say that it was the type of dancing that is very appropriate for “Shake That” and maybe not appropriate for children.

As Obie walked off the stage, I noticed the crew setting up for D12. I was in the first row, so I was close enough that I could actually see their setlist guide that they taped to the floor, nice!

Dj Invisible opens for D12 and hypes the crowd up.

DJ Invisible came back out on stage to keep the hype at it’s maximum while we patiently waited for D12 to make their entrance. As he comically appears to start levitating a giant D12 cap from underneath the table to his head. Soon after, D12 opens with “Rap Game”. This guy oozes charisma and DJ skills. I also very much enjoyed his wacky giant D12 hat. D12 finally came out with the crowd losing their minds; every arm in the building raised higher than Shaq on his tiptoes.

Still high off that introduction, they double up on it with “S–t On You.”

One of the biggest highlights of the entire show was when they pulled out a cover of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”. The crowd knew the words so well you could barely hear D12. The icing on the cake is when a female fan snuck on stage and started dancing with them until security had to remove her.

The hype never died down for a second during the entire show. The guy’s were determined to make that a fact. Towards the end, Kuniva and Swift even went head to head in a hype battle.

To close the show, Obie Trice returned and joined the rest of the gang for a few tracks. If I remember correctly, I believe they wound the show down with a performance of “Loyalty”

After the show, I had one thing left to do. I had to navigate through a club full of staggering drunk people and find Obie. He was supposed to be there before the show, but he was late. This made finding him after the show a little chaotic. Thankfully, I found the man and told him how incredible the show was. I pull out my Devil’s Night CD and ask for an autograph. I said “I believe this was your first appearance on the Shady Records label, if I’m not mistaken!” He paused for a second, looked at the CD cover and immediately quoted the first bar or so of his “Obie Trice” skit. I’ve never been more star-struck in my entire life. As he happily started signing the booklet of the CD, I sort of chuckled and said, “Yeah, exactly!” As I’m about to pass out from exhaustion, I get my picture with Obie, he signs, I thank him one more time and leave with some incredible memories…

Social Media Erupts in Rapper Feud: Kanye West Fans Proclaim ‘KANYE IS BETTER THAN EMINEM!’ Who Wins This Debate?

The two exceptionally well-accomplished artists of this generation, Eminem and Kanye West are the personalities people have been worshipping since the beginning of their careers. The two had significant influence over huge masses and were responsible for huge cultural shifts all over the world. Kanye West now known as Ye has a more exploratory style and does not hesitate to shake things up by incorporating sounds from different genres. On the other hand, Eminem is famous for his aggressive flow and lyricism.
Therefore, when it comes to music there is no possible way to find out which rapper is the best. But since the internet exists, the life-long debate will continue. Thus, Ye fans are now proving the previous statement true by attacking Eminem’s discography.

Why are Kanye West fans attacking Eminem?

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, also known as, Eminem is a global phenomenon, whose contribution to the industry is impossible to describe in words. From hits like Lose Yourself to The Real Slim Shady, the artist thrives in versatility. His art provided a voice to millions across the globe while touching on various sensitive issues.
Therefore, comparing that influence with another rapper is borderline insulting. On the other hand, although Kanye West’s reputation is now tainted because of his controversial anti-Semitic remarks, there is no denying the fact of the impact he has had on the youth and culture throughout the years. The personality inspired the masses with his fashion and music.

Staring a never-ending fight between the clans. The fans claim so because of the lack of songs from the rapper’s side in comparison to Ye, who has been pumping out songs left and right in recent years. Here are some of the tweets from the Ye clan,

Very recently during Pete Davidson’s exit from SNL, Eminem allegedly angered Ye by being featured on a skit with Davidson. Well not physically but the rapper lent his voice to the song Forgot About Lorne. This took place during West’s wild rampage over his social media pages. Thus every person on the planet thought it was only a matter of time before the Donda rapper decides to take a hit on the Detroit rapper. One person left a comment under the posts saying,

Ryan Garcia Calls Eminem An “Overrated Gay Satanist” In Latest Twitter Rant

It says a lot about Ryan Garcia’s recent online antics that this homophobic tirade against Eminem is the least of his worries.

It seems like Ryan Garcia wasn’t a big fan of The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), because he just went on a wild Twitter rant against Eminem on Sunday (July 14). “Eminem is a satanist,” he posted on his account after cosigning Candace Owens’ takedown of the Detroit rapper for dissing her. “It’s not even debatable. I always thought he was overrated but hey that’s just my opinion. Wait Eminem is a homo? Eminem Gay. For the record I don’t care if Eminem is Gay. Nor do I care if he was straight. Just keep that devil shit he’s doing in his music videos away from kids.”

Then, Ryan Garcia posted a picture of Eminem dressed as Britney Spears for the “Real Slim Shady” music video with the caption “Feminem.” “You can’t pay enough me to wear a dress and heels,” he added afterwards. “If I ever do, just remember I didn’t want to do it. I’d go down fighting before I start doing all that.” The boxer reacted to some outlandish Slim Shady lyrics and complained about his belief that people let Em slide for his stuff, but that they then trash Garcia whenever he has a controversial take.

But this is Ryan Garcia’s smallest fish to fry these days, as he’s recently issued multiple apologies for his concerning behavior. His most recent one was to his ex-wife Andrea Celina for allegedly trashing her home and verbally abusing her. “I came on here just to say I’m sorry,” Garcia remarked. “Andrea, you’re the mother of my children and somebody I’ll always have love and respect for. I retract all my statements about her. She never stole money from me, she never did wrong by me, she never cheated on me. We weren’t together, so right there, she’s not a cheater. She’s a great woman. In the next couple of months, you’re gonna see a change.”
Furthermore, Ryan Garcia’s previous Twitter rant included the n-word, mockery of George Floyd, and disparaging remarks against many other groups, on top of resulting in his expulsion from the World Boxing Council amid his current PED suspension. “Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” Mauricio Sulaiman stated. “We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well being [sic]. He has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse.”
