On Friday, Good Morning America posted a video of Sam Champion and Ginger Zee attempting Dancing With the Stars’ Whitney Carson and Danny Amendola’s leg lift, which has become viral over TikTok.

Sam, 63, starts off the video by saying, “We need a doctor on standby!

“Danny and Whitney call that move Operation Archer. Since Ginger and I have both competed on Dancing with the Stars, we are going to try this trend.

“We have tried this a couple of times, but not successfully. Are you ready?”

A caption then read “30 minutes earlier…” and showed their practice, as Ginger, 43, and Sam could be seen failing at the trend three times.

In their first on-camera attempt, Sam successfully lifted Ginger up before she lost her balance and fell over.

Michael, 52, joked, “Michael is not doing that!”

Sam and Ginger tried again, but the weatherman instead dragged her across the floor.

Michael then went over to help Ginger up off the floor.

When Ginger said, “We need a week,” Michael jumped on the floor and said, “Alright forget it, Sam let’s go!”

The hosts were hysterical in laughter as Michael lay on the floor with his legs in the air.

The Instagram video was captioned, “They were SO CLOSE!!! You guys will get it next time don’t worry.”

Ginger commented on the video, “We need a few more attempts and I swear we can get it.”

Viewers were hysterical over the moment, as one commented on Instagram with laughing emojis, “I’m SCREAMING!!!”

A second wrote, “Just drag her across the floor! Too funny.”

A third fan said, “This was beyond hilarious!!!!! I need this!!!”

A fourth joked, “At least the floor is now all clean!! Great effort!!”

Sam competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2022 alongside partner Cheryl Burke.

The pair were eliminated during week four.

As for Ginger, she appeared on the ABC series in 2019 with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Ginger did better during her stint on the show, as she placed in third.

Ginger and Sam appear on Good Morning America as the morning show’s meteorologists.

Michael co-hosts the morning show alongside Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.

TIKTOK TREND

Whitney and Danny took to TikTok earlier this week to tell fans that they have been “loving” all the videos of fans trying out the trend.

The two then gave a tutorial, as Danny provided the advice of staying balanced, while Whitney told the female dancer to keep the bottom leg straight.

They then seamlessly pulled off the difficult dance move.

Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset for the second time amid rumors she’s pregnant.

Cardi B Files for Divorce Again

On Thursday (Aug. 1), TMZ reported that Cardi B filed the official divorce paperwork to separate from her husband Offset legally. Despite ongoing rumors that Offset cheated on Cardi during their time together, the sources claim their split has nothing to do with infidelity. Instead, the divorce appears to be “a long time coming,” because “they’re just disconnected from each other.” A rep for Cardi confirmed the separation news with XXL as well.

Cardi B is also seeking primary custody of their children Kulture and Wave.

The news comes after TMZ spotted Cardi out and about in New York City on Wednesday (July 30) with what appeared to be a baby bump. Her team went to intense lengths to cover Cardi up with umbrellas.

XXL has reached out to representatives for Cardi and Offset for further comment.

 

 

This Is the Second Time Cardi B Wants to Divorce Offset

Cardi had previously filed for divorce from Offset in 2020. That filing included a summons to Offset, as well as an automatic standing order, which applies to all divorce cases filed in the Family Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County.

The “WAP” rapper also sought full custody of 2-year-old Kulture during that filing as well. Cardi said she “is a fit and proper person to have legal custody of the minor child with final decision-making authority over legal custody matters, and to have primary physical custody of the minor child.”

However, Cardi withdrew the documents shortly after filing.

The pair were married in 2017, but a few months after their one-year anniversary in 2018, Cardi B shared that she and Offset were parting ways, and they’ve been attempting to mend the relationship ever since.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has opened up on her rivalry with Caitlin Clark following their first season in the WNBA.

Reese and Clark appeared to kick their enmity of sorts off when they met at the National Title game in 2023, but the former has revealed that they have been going at it for much longer.

“It’s been competition since college,” the former LSU star said in an interview with Complex. “Being able to play against Caitlin, I’ve been playing against Caitlin since we were probably in eigth or ninth grade.”

“We both were really competitive during AAU. I went to Maryland, she went to Iowa, we competed there, and then finally being able to compete in the national championship. People don’t know the legacy of us being able to play against each other for a really long time.”

Angel Reese was asked about her experience with Caitlin Clark fans and claimed it was not limited to the Indiana Fever star’s supporters but supporters in general.

“That’s why she’s been very vague about when she’s leaving and what she’s doing next. They’re still figuring it out.

“She wants to do prime-time specials like Diane Sawyer does for ABC.

“This isn’t the last we’ve seen of Hoda.”

The insider also took issue with a Puck report that Hoda, 60, was asked to take a pay cut. Puck reported the alleged cut was the real reason behind her exit at Today.

“That’s not true, they are begging her to stay. Plus, Hoda has never cared about money. She’s not flashy.”

An insider previously said NBC execs had been trying to convince Hoda to stay on full-time at Today, but she “just didn’t want to do it.”

“Hoda feels at 60 years old, morning TV is a young person’s game,” the source said, adding that a 4 am wakeup time “messes up your whole life.”

They added that it came down to wanting more time with her girls and finding love again.

SHOCKING ANNOUNCEMENT

Hoda took Today viewers by surprise last week when she abruptly announced she was leaving the show in the middle of Thursday’s broadcast.

“So I was doing the math, and I realized I have spent 26 years at NBC – be cool, be cool,” Hoda began, on the verge of tears.

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old…What does that decade mean?…And I realize it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new.”

“I thought, it can’t get better. And I decided that this is the right time to move on.”

Her co-stars, including Savannah Guthrie, also grew emotional as she made her speech.

“When you look around and see these tears, they’re love. You are so loved. I don’t think any of us can imagine this place without you,” Savannah said, her voice cracking.

“So it’s complicated because we love you so much and don’t want you to ever go.

“I am so proud of my friend. You have guts. For someone to leave at the top of their game, to leave something that’s wonderful, that you love, where it’s easy and comfortable and beautiful and fun and say, but I dream even bigger for myself.”

Hoda ended her announcement by assuring fans and her colleagues that she would stay in the NBC family, but exit Today by early 2025.

After winning Wednesday’s game, the three-day champ will officially compete on the upcoming Tournament of Champions – a feat few players have been able to pull off this year.

The Episcopal priest from Falls Church, Virginia went into today’s game already a two-day champ with earnings of $39,400.

He went up against Julia Schan, a stay-at-home mom from Pleasanton, California and Drew Wheeler, a high school social studies teacher from Athens, Georgia.

Drew was off to an impressive start an garnered an early lead which only increased when he found, and correctly guessed, the first Daily Double.

Heading into the first break, Drew had the lead with $2,900 while Kevin and Julia were far behind with $600 and $200, respectively.

However, Kevin was able to make up a lot of ground by the Double Jeopardy! round.

The returning champ was in second with $3,400, just $100 behind Drew while Julia upped her score to $1,600.

Kevin was next to find the second Daily Double in the $1,600 clue under “E BOOKS” and nearly lost everything in a shocking wager.

“This nonfiction Pulitzer winner is subtitled “Poverty and Profit in the American City”; the title happened to many families,” host Ken Jennings read.

The contestant was unable to correctly guess: “What is Evicted?” – dropping his score $3,000.

Julia found the third Daily Double but like her opponent, she also missed it – costing her just $1,000.

After her opponents ended up making several bold wagers that they lost, Julia moved her way to the top to gain the lead heading into Final Jeopardy!

As host Ken, 50, revealed the last category as “State Songs”, the players placed their wagers.

Despite having the lead going into the final round, Julia was the only one to get her answer wrong – dropping her down to third with $3,599.

The third win for Kevin earned him a milestone achievement that few others have pulled off during season 41.

Jeopardy! Contestant Rules

Passing Jeopardy!’s online Anytime Test is hard enough, but there are also many rules players must follow once they make it to the stage:

The returning champion is always at the leftmost podium and keeps playing until they lose.
Contestants don’t have to say “who is” or “what is” in the first round but must do so in Double Jeopardy! and Final Jeopardy.
Contestants can change their responses as long as Ken Jennings or the judges haven’t made a ruling.
The minimum wager for a Daily Double is $5. The minimum wager for Final Jeopardy! is $0.
Written responses in Final Jeopardy! do not have to be spelled correctly, but they must be phonetically correct (the judges decide this).
If there’s a tie after Final Jeopardy, the tied players enter a bonus clue shootout, and whoever buzzes in first correctly wins.
If all three contestants wager everything in Final Jeopardy! and are incorrect, leaving them with $0, there will be no returning champion (it’s happened before—six times).

Typically, Jeopardy! players need to win five consecutive games in order to score a Tournament of Champions invite – the spinoff special that brings back past winners to score an even bigger prize.

However, due to so few people being able to achieve that, contestants who win just three games this season will be able to go to the prestigious tournament.

“Ayyy Kevin’s in the TOC let’s go,” one viewer celebrated.

While another offered more insight: “So, that leaves one TOC spot unclaimed and returns the CWC to two open spots.

“(Or one, we still don’t have 100% confirmation on Adam but, sheesh, could he really have missed by $200?). Only six qualifying games left.”

Skilla Baby: Detroit Rappers Don’t Consider Eminem the Best

 

 

Eminem might be a global rap icon, but according to  Detroit’s own Skilla Baby, he’s not considered the best rapper in the city.

During an appearance on the “Baby, This is Keke Palmer” podcast, Skilla sparked a lively discussion about  Detroit’s top rappers.

Skilla Baby shared his thoughts when asked who he thinks holds the title of the best rapper from  the Motor City. Skilla admitted:

 

 

“Numbers wise, Eminem is the best Detroit rapper but the gag is nobody would say that in Detroit.”

Host Keke Palmer was taken aback by his candidness and pressed him further about who the city regards as its leading rap talents. Skilla explained:

“Everybody had a turn being Detroit’s favorite rapper. Sada Baby had a turn, Tee Grizzley had a turn, Babyface Ray had a turn, Veeze is one of Detroit’s best rappers, Baby Smoove. Everybody had their turn being the best in the city. What we lack is consistency. Nobody has consistently been Detroit’s favorite rapper.”

 

He also highlighted influential groups like Team Eastside and Doughboyz Cashout, noting that despite Eminem’s colossal record sales, he’s not frequently played on the streets of Detroit. “People here aren’t really listening to Eminem these days,” Skilla asserted.
