It doesn’t appear that Mike McCarthy had any time for stragglers after the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants on Thursday.

Dallas won a second consecutive game, leaving the field with a 27-20 victory over the struggling Giants, who have hardly shown improvement since changing their quarterback.

The NFC affair was not as entertaining as the scoreline suggests, but the Cowboys got the job done, with DeMarvion Overshown, in particular, putting his stamp on the game. The linebacker made nine tackles, recovered a fumble, and returned an INT for a touchdown while Micah Parsons put pressure on the quarterback all game.

On the offensive end, running back Rico Dowdle rushed for a season-high 112 yards, which was a welcome sight given Dallas’ struggles on the ground this season.

Deuce Vaughn was not involved after being a healthy scratch against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. And McCarthy refused to celebrate with him after Thursday night’s win, snubbing him after he came in for a dap-up while the head coach was handing them out.

The 47-year-old Tom Brady got to call his first NFL Thanksgiving game as an analyst on Thursday, a 27-20 Dallas victory at AT&T Stadium. Brady is in the first season of a 10-year, $375 million deal he signed with FOX in 2022.

During the pre-game show, Brady relived his first completed NFL pass in the New England Patriots’ 2000 Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions. A six-year completion to Rod Rutledge in garbage time.

Burkhardt teased Tom Brady by reminding the seven-time Super Bowl champion that his next pass attempt nearly resulted in a pick-six. Brady shot back with, “You were supposed to skip that part.”

The Patriots put Brady in to relieve Drew Bledsoe after a tough outing. He completed one of three passes in the game. The Lions cruised to a 34-9 victory over the visiting Pats in the first season of the Brady-Bill Belichick era.

Brady hardly played in his rookie year, but 2000 marked the only losing season for the Patriots during Brady’s 20-year run with the organization. The Patriots went on to win nine AFC Championships and six Super Bowls with Brady behind center.

The legendary NFL quarterback received immense criticism for his performance in the broadcast booth in the early stages of career with FOX. Brady appeared nervous, uncomfortable and unsure what to say during games.

On Friday morning, the Chicago Bears announced that they would be moving on from Matt Eberflus and naming their offensive coordinator Thomas Brown as the interim head coach.

Of course, this firing is a direct result of Chicago’s poor 4-8 start to the season, Eberflus’s Thanksgiving blunder, and poor clock management, which cost his team the chance to beat the Lions.

Immediately after the game, his poor decisions as a coach were criticized, while fans and major analysts all agreed the Bears needed to make a change.

However, during a press conference just hours before his firing, Eberflus was confident in keeping his position.

“I’m confident that I’ll be working onto San Francisco and getting ready for that game,” he said.

Of course, it was still believed that the Bears would keep Eberflus until the end of the season because it is rare for the organization to fire a head coach midseason.

With Eberflus’s firing, it’s the first time it’s ever happened, despite some poor coaches making their way through Chicago.

However, it shows that the Bears are no longer willing to settle for mediocre performances, even if it means leaving their comfort zone.

There Was Almost No Bright Spot Of The Matt Eberflus Era

Eberflus ended his coaching tenure with Chicago after two and a half years with little to show.

In 2022, his first season, he led them to a 3-14 record. However, by his second year, there were some promising signs after they improved to 7-10 and looked like they could be playoff contenders with a revamped offense.

It just wasn’t the case, though. Now, after going 4-8 in 2024, his record in Chicago will sit at 14-32, with not much love from fans on his way out.

The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.

Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:

“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.

I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”

Fans think Taylor Swift may soon announce some big news after cameras caught her interesting interaction with Donna Kelce before the Kansas City Chiefs-Las Vegas Raiders Black Friday game.

Taylor Swift has been in a well-documented and highly publicized relationship with Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce for over a year. The Grammy Award-winning singer has naturally brought plenty more attention to the Chiefs and NFL.

Before Friday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium, cameras caught Swift interacting with Travis’ mother. Notice Swift delivering a “wink” to the person filming the interaction at the end of the video:

Kayla Nicole is certainly not a fan of Donald Trump.

Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend was most certainly hoping for Kamala Harris to win the Presidential election, but things did not work out for her, as Donald Trump won 312 electoral votes.

Harris only garnered 226 electoral votes.

Nicole was not happy with the outcome, and she made that clear in her reaction to Trump supporters.

Kayla Nicole referred to them as “F–king clowns” in an Instagram story in the wake of Americans voting Trump back into office.

“If you’re a convicted felon, you’re not even allowed to work as a teacher, pilot, health care official. You’re not allowed to work in law enforcement. But you could run the United States of America if you want, if it makes America great again. You’re all a bunch of [expletive] clowns.”

What Nicole is referring to is Trump becoming the first president in American history to be elected to office as a convicted felon after he was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records in the hush money trial.

Millions of Americans took to the polls on November 5 to vote in a historic US Presidential election, which saw Republican candidate Donald Trump seal his second and final return to the White House.

Not all Americans celebrated the 78-year-old’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, and that included Kayla Nicole.

The former girlfriend of Travis Kelce, who previously showed her support for the Democratic nominee, threatened to flee the country over the president-elect’s second term in office.

“I’m thinking Australia. Who’s down?” Nicole asked on Instagram in early November as she posted a poolside video in a pink bikini with a white towel wrapped around her head.

She would double down on her stance the next day by re-sharing a post about Australia “ban[ning] social media for anyone under the age of 16.”

Nicole wrote, “So again, who is down!???”

The superstar gymnast is attending the fixture to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, who plays as a safety for Chicago, having shown up for several of his games since they got together.

Cameras caught her arriving ahead of the fixture on Thursday, and her custom jacket attracted some attention.
